WORLD AFFAIRS CHALLENGE PREP

Students assign members of their own groups to do homework - research for topic, collect items for presentation, work on the script, memorize their part, etc. Homework assignments are logged out and back in on a worksheet in the Team Binder.

Students are graded on their participation in the group, their individual daily reflections, and on the amount and quality of the homework assignments, e.g. researching a topic and writing a report for the group has more "value" than merely cutting out a newspaper article.

1/15 - 3/14   See NEWS LINKS for good places to find information.

For sophisticated and / or inquisitive news hounds only: The Economist Magazine
Note: Some articles are NOT free, but if you see something you want to read more about, the MERCY LIBRARY subscribes to the Economist.
